SEND Tutoring and Mentoring

Providing high-quality, multi-sensory coaching which is tailored to the specific requirements of the child, using learning styles that are compatible with the child's preferred way of taking on informaiton.
I have over seven years’ experience working one-to-one with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and experience as an Assistant SENDCo, where I delivered targeted interventions, tutoring, and social–emotional support.
I have supported children with a range of needs, including global developmental delay, autism, ADHD, and complex health conditions.
I provide tailored coaching and tutoring that meets each child where they are. I work collaboratively with both parents and children to understand each child’s preferred learning style and what helps them feel most confident and engaged. Through observation and experience, I identify the approaches that work best; whether that’s through visual, auditory, or hands-on, movement-based learning. I then use these insights to design flexible, personalised sessions. These can take place after school or during the day for children currently out of school, depending on what best supports the family’s needs.
Alongside supporting academic progress, I also focus on helping children develop social skills, emotional regulation, and confidence. A key part of my approach involves addressing patterns such as perfectionism and self-doubt; helping children to recognise that learning is a process, that mistakes are part of growth, and that their value isn’t defined by being “the best” at something, but by showing persistence, curiosity, and self-belief.
My aim is to create a supportive, multi-sensory learning environment where every child can thrive, reconnect with learning, and build the confidence to reach their full potential — both in and beyond the classroom.
